Malorees pupils rACE TO SIGN-UP FOR Triathlon

Dozens of Junior school children have been so inspired by the joint-school Duathlon back in June that they have signed up for a second helping!

The British Triathlon Trust-organised summer event on our school playing field was such a success that the British Triathlon Trust made us this video and have invited the school to their next event!

Mr Cleary, Junior School PE Lead, was unsure of numbers for the event so originally tentatively asked for 45 children, primarily from Y6, to take part in the 50m swim, 800m cycle and 300m run, organised by the Brownlee Foundation at the Willesden Sports Centre on 26 September.

However, interest in the event is so strong he now has 57 children taking part. He has also expanded the age group to include Years 3-5!

Photos from June's Duathlon are in our News section.

Mr Cleary is continuing his Passport to Fitness challenges this year with the Junior School children. Ask your child if they are involved or you can help.

There is also a very popular children's Sunday morning 2km Park Run in Queens Park organised by Park Run community volunteers.
